I would like to acknowledge and recognize that my work takes place on the traditional lands of the Anishinabeg people and the people of the Metis Nation in the area of Treaty 3. I acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island from before the arrival of settlers until this day. I recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place and honour their contributions in shaping and strengthening this area.
